Members of the Citizens Review Committee and the Audit Committee are appointed by the Board annually in June. Community members who would like to serve on a Board committee should notify their Board Member.
Citizens Review Committee
Citizens Review Committee (CRC) was designed to provide citizen review and make recommendations to the Board of Education regarding construction projects funded by General Obligation Bonds. The CRC generally meets the second Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noticed.
Audit Committee – The Audit committee shall review the following and make recommendations to the Superintendent and his or her designee who shall take the recommendations to the Board of Education for Action:
Procurement of Audit Services
Monitor Audit Performance
Track and Report the Status of Audit Findings
District Finance Sub-committee
Provide other advice and assistance as requested by the Board.
– The District Finance subcommittee provides financial oversight to the District through established systems of open reporting to ensure financial stability, legal compliance and the efficient and effective use of resources to support the academic success of all students. The District Finance Subcommittee shall consist of all board members, appointed by the Board of Education. The Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee. Meetings for this committee are scheduled quarterly as a Board study session. The committee will make recommendations in the following areas:
- Financial planning, including reviews of the school district’s revenue and expenditure projections
- Review of financial statements and periodic monitoring of revenues and expenses
- Annual budget preparation and over sight
