Dr. Veronica C. Garcia, Superintendent of Schools Renders Decision Regarding Day of Action at the Roundhouse

Santa Fe, NM – After careful review of input, statutory attendance requirements and her commitment to ensuring that our students recognize every school day matters; Dr. Veronica C. Garcia has called for an early release day for all schools in the SFPS District on March 16th.

Save Our Schools Letter to all Stakeholders

On Thursday, March 16, 2017, all Santa Fe Public Schools will release at the following times:

  • Elementary and K-8 Schools Release Time: 12:00 Noon

  • Middle and High Schools Release Time: 1:00 PM

Busses will run at those times.

Santa Fe Public Schools has partnered with Communities in Schools and the City of Santa Fe in order to provide after school programs for our students on March 16, 2017.  The following schools will have after school programming through Communities in Schools from the time of student release until 5:30 PM:

  • Salazar Elementary

  • Cesar Chavez Elementary

  • El Camino Real Academy

  • Aspen Community School

  • Ortiz Middle School

  • Capital High

  • Engage

Students who participate in 21st Learning programs have the option to attend after school programs at those school sites from the time of the release until 5:30 PM.

Students ages 5-18 who do not attend those schools can participate in the after school program at the Monica Roybal Youth Center, 737 Agua Fria, Santa Fe, New Mexico from 12:30 PM-6:30 PM sponsored by the City of Santa Fe.
