SFPS Communications with Parents and Guardians
The district will use social media and the SFPS website to inform parents, students and staff about COVID-19 symptoms, preventive measures, good hygiene, and school/district specific protocols. Information will be posted on the SFPS website regarding:
- Specific school information
- District updates
- Health and Safety
- COVID-19 re-entry related information
Additionally, the district will send messages to parents/guardians through School Messenger. (Parents will receive text messages.) District-wide information will be provided on an ongoing basis through this forum.
Schools will communicate through the following tools:
- Mass-texting platform
- Email
- Live streams of Board of Education meetings
- Posting information and resources on the district’s website
- Through Open Access (Canvas)
- Direct communication from principals, teachers, and support staff
- The district’s social media accounts
- Developing videos and posting them to the district’s YouTube channel
- Google Meet and Zoom meetings
- Pre-recorded and pre-determined messages for:
- Social media
- Email
- Robo-Calls (telephone)
