SFPS Re-entry Overview


First day of school for all students:  August 20, 2020

Teachers return: August 11, 2020


Initial Instructional model: Remote Learning
For the health and safety of all students and staff, the SFPS 2020-21 school year will start with the remote learning model used during the spring semester of the 2019-20 school year. SFPS will transition to a hybrid learning model once it's deemed safe to do so, based on guidance from public officials and health experts, and in consultation with our teachers' union, NEA-Santa Fe. SFPS families and staff will be given ample notice before any such changes occur.

NM PED Guidance: The New Mexico Public Education Department has provided a guidance document to support school districts on their reopening plans and strategies for the 2020-21 school year. Go here to access that document.

Registration Procedures: The SFPS Parent Portal is the resource to use for registering returning students. Go here for additional registration information for returning, transferring, and new students.

Food Distribution:
Grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches will continue to be be available to all qualifying students. More information with distribution locations and times will be coming soon.


Technology for Remote Learning:
 
SFPS will continue to ensure that all students have access to a digital device and support for remote and hybrid learning. Go here for more information on SFPS technology support resources and procedures.
