Santa Fe Public Schools commits that all students PreK-12 have access to high quality science educational opportunities.  The Science Coordinator helps identify, plan, implement and evaluate strategies to support teachers, instructional coaches and administrators. This includes: overseeing horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum, providing learning tools and professional development for teachers, collaborating with community partners and promoting the use of data to make continuous improvements in instructional practices.

On March 4th -9th, more than 1,200 Santa Fe Public School students engaged in STEAM learning with a variety of local community partners. As part of the Innovation Expo:STEAM Powered Learning week long events, students virtually traveled through our solar system with the SF Children’s Museum, created chemical reactions with Explora, observed a cloud made by the Bradbury Museum, documented bird observations with the SF Audubon, applied mathematics to understand basketball concepts and so much more! These enthusiastic presenters brought STEAM to life during their 30 minutes sessions, allowing curiosity to thrive. Thank you to all who participated! For a full list of the community partner presentations that were offered, please see this link.
