Santa Fe Public Schools
21st Century Community Learning Centers
Serving 14 Schools for 2017-18

SFPS was awarded a four-year federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers  grant in 2016 for after school enrichment programs at 14 elementary and middle schools. The 2017-2018 school year will launch the second year of the grant. The grant requires we serve low-income families whose children are struggling academically. Parents need to commit to their child attending daily Monday through Thursday. Contact your child's principal to learn if your child qualifies. Programs include:

  • Academic, artistic and cultural opportunities for children, especially for students who attend high poverty schools, to improve skills in reading, math and science.

  • Activities to include families and the community in the educational process. After school snacks will be provided.

  •  SFPS works with community partners to provide enriching after school program experiences, including: Audubon NM, Santa Fe Botanical Garden, Museum of International Folk Art, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, New Mexico History Museum, SITE Santa Fe, School for Advanced Research, Code.org, Cooking with Kids, Girls Inc., Partners in Education, and many others.
