How Do We Decide What Our Schools Should Look Like?
The SFPS Construction Management Team works to make sure our buildings, campuses and offices fulfill the educational goals of the district, both today and into the future. Every four years, as required by the Public School Finance Authority, the Team, supported by consultants and specialists, develops a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan to:

1. Evaluate the state of every school campus, office and auxiliary building in the District
2. Review demographic and enrollment trends.
3. Address classroom needs, identifying gaps between current conditions and the ideal future state of our schools.

How Do We Decide Our Priorities?
District staff works with the Citizens Review Committee and the School
to develop a list of building priorities. Public opinion is important in the process, and the District provides opportunities for community input. Learn more by watching “How Our School Get Built.”

How Do We Get the Funds We Need?
Once the School Board has the list of building priorities for the next four years, we turn to Santa Fe voters to request the funds to move forward. We anticipate holding an election for the renewal of the General Obligation Bond in early 2021.
