The Standard Life Additional Benefits
Additional Life Insurance available at the cost of the employee. Options rage from 1x, 2x, or 3x the employee’s salary. Cost is based on the employee’s age, salary, and amount of coverage they choose. If one is enrolled in the Additional Life Insurance plan, they can also enroll their qualified dependents. An employee's spouse may only select 1X the employee's salary for additional life insurance. Spouse/Domestic Partner and Child Life options are available.
Life and Travel Assistance
The Basic Life Insurance Benefit of $25,000 is applied to eligible employees at no cost.
Travel Assistance is also a benefit provided to eligible employees at no cost.

Long Term Disability Coverage
Long Term Disability coverage (LTD) from The Standard could help you meet your financial obligations if you become disabled and are unable to perform your job. The District offers coverage through NMPSIA for Long Term Disability. This benefit assists an employee when they are unable to work for an extended period of time due to their own illness or injury. The benefit kicks in after a 30 day waiting period and can pay if unable to return to work until Normal Social Security Retirement age.
