Police in several states, including New Mexico, are investigating reports of school safety threats today. A similar threat was made to Santa Fe High School this afternoon, and police were dispatched to Capital High School as a precaution. There is nothing to substantiate the threat, which appears to be a hoax, as we do not have students on campus today due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Santa Fe Police have been visiting sites across the district as a precautionary measure.
Due to weather and road conditions, tonight girls basketball games are postponed to Thursday, 2/16 (C-team- 4:00, JV - 5:30, V - 7:00).
Due to icy and snow covered road conditions across the District that would prohibit the safe transportation of students to school, all schools will be closed Wednesday February 15th, 2023. This is not a remote learning day. All after school and evening activities are canceled.
Due to current conditions throughout the district and in anticipation of the overnight forecast, all schools will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, February 15th, 2023, to provide additional time for buses to safely transport students to schools. This means that buses will run 2 hours later than during normal times. If you drop your child off at school, please remember that staff will also be on a two-hour delay. Full day Pre-K programs are also on a two hour delay. Morning Pre-K programs have been canceled. Afternoon Pre-K programs will operate on a regular schedule.

"We flipped the script on extended learning last year by partnering with our community. The result is a new, exciting community partnership model for SFPS summer and after-school programming," said Superintendent Hilario "Larry" Chavez. "We invite you to apply to continue the fun and learning in 2023."
SFPS and a cadre of inspiring community partners provided 2,656 students, or 21 percent of the district’s population, with free summer programming last year. Thirty-three programs were offered at 13 different SFPS sites.
Summer programs to provide student enrichment and close learning gaps are supported by federal pandemic relief funding.
