Students new to attending school in the U.S. will be offered a free newcomer program at Milagro Middle School, located at 1720 Llano Street, on July 11-29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with dismissal at 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. “SFPS continues to welcome an increasing number of newcomer students. Welcoming newcomers and ensuring they thrive in their new school and our community is the responsibility of both SFPS and Santa Fe. We want newcomer families and children to feel welcomed and secure, and gain the skills needed to flourish,” said Superintendent Hilario “Larry” Chavez. Free transportation, breakfast, lunch and school supplies will be provided.
