As a precautionary measure following PNM's notice of a potential power shutdown on Thursday, March 6 (due to high winds), Santa Fe Public Schools will implement the District’s inclement weather procedures and shift to a remote learning and work day. This will allow us to ensure the health and safety of all. Additionally, we must comply with state-required instructional hours and avoid extending the school year beyond the scheduled final day of school. Please ensure that students are prepared for remote learning tomorrow, and stay safe. Do you want to earn a cord for graduation and save lives at the same time? The spring HOSA blood drive will take place in the small gym on February 14th, Valentines day. If you donate in this blood drive you will get a free t-shirt. Any student who is at least 16 years old can sign up directly with Mr. Burgess in room 127. Don't forget that students who donate 3 times while in high school will earn a cord for graduation! ¿Quieres ganar un cordón para la graduación y salvar vidas al mismo tiempo? Bus schedules will also run 2 hours later than usual. Please make sure your student(s) are not dropped off before the delayed start, as staff will not be on campus. Full-day Pre-K programs are delayed by 2 hours, while morning Pre-K is canceled. Afternoon Pre-K programs will continue as scheduled. Stay safe and take necessary precautions. The New Mexico Public Education Department has issued new guidance for handling threats that originate on social media. Recently, schools across the nation have seen a surge in social media threats—many of which are hoaxes or pranks. Even when these threats are unfounded, they can still lead to widespread fear, the cancellation of events, and a strain on resources. We urge everyone to be vigilant online and report any suspicious activity to authorities. Let's work together to keep our schools safe and protect our community's well-being.
