IT'S PANTHER RUN TIME at Wood Gormley! The Panther Run is our annual premier Fundraising Event! Our goal has always been to bring the Wood Gormley community together in a fun and healthy environment to raise funds for our school. The Panther Run will include all the students at Wood Gormley in an exciting 1K race around the school! The children train in P.E. class leading up to the event and on the event day, we welcome parents and friends to come and cheer them on. This is our 21st year of The Panther Run, and we are SO excited for this event!! Join our first graders tomorrow at the Winter Whiskers Pop Up Shop after school from 1:05-1:30, supporting their One Year to Rescue Project : Arctic Fox! There will be lots of frozen goodies, yummy lemonade, student-made fox friendship bracelets, and students-designed arctic fox tee shirts ($10)! All proceeds go to the Arctic Fox Project!

As a precautionary measure following PNM's notice of a potential power shutdown on Thursday, March 6 (due to high winds), Santa Fe Public Schools will implement the District’s inclement weather procedures and shift to a remote learning and work day. This will allow us to ensure the health and safety of all. Additionally, we must comply with state-required instructional hours and avoid extending the school year beyond the scheduled final day of school. All SFPS schools are on a 2-hour delay for Tuesday, January 21st, due to extremely cold temperatures from the forecasted arctic blast in the morning. Bus schedules will also run 2 hours later than usual. Please make sure your student(s) are not dropped off before the delayed start, as staff will not be on campus. Full-day Pre-K programs are delayed by 2 hours, while morning Pre-K is canceled. Afternoon Pre-K programs will continue as scheduled. Stay safe and take necessary precautions. With two grade level groups, students will work collaboratively to solve critical thinking events, adapt to new situations, tap into their creativity & imagination in a vast fantasy world, & PERHAPS even leave the Club with a model of their painstakingly created character!
